Tourism Roadmap

Convinced of Morocco’s unique appeal and its potential to compete with top global destinations, the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy has outlined an ambitious vision: to welcome 26 million tourists by 2030.
In line with the Royal Vision to stimulate investment and promote employment while strengthening public-private partnerships, a new roadmap for 2023-2026 was developed in consultation with private sector stakeholders. This roadmap was formalized by the signing of a framework agreement on March 17, 2023.
With the strategic goal of reinventing Moroccan tourism, the roadmap aims to position Morocco among the top 15 global destinations, while increasing tourism’s contribution to the national economy and job creation. Supported by a budget of 6.1 billion dirhams for the period 2023-2026, the roadmap aims to establish a new offer logic focused on the customer experience and structured around nine thematic clusters and five cross-cutting clusters, namely:

Through this plan, the Department aims to open new horizons for sector development, targeting 17.5 million tourists, achieving 120 billion dirhams in foreign currency revenue, and creating 200,000 new direct and indirect jobs by 2026.
